FAMILY FOREVER…?
Yeah, right. If he was my son, I’d give him to the tinkers… Tomorrow sees Mayo take on Meath in the last of the football quarter finals in Croke Park. The tickets are purchased, the jersey is washed and, in time honoured tradition, the expectations are set to “boundlessly optimistic”. As Kevin Keegan would say, I’d love it if we beat them. And, with Stephen Bray missing, I fully expect that we will. If we do win, however, Kerry are waiting for us in the semi-finals; which, as that other mullet-headed philosopher Nigel Tufnel would say, certainly puts things in perspective. A bit too much fucking perspective, in fact.
On a side note, does anyone have any idea why the iPhone camera is so unbelievably shit? Same thing happened here and it’s just incredibly fucking annoying.

Too disgusted to comment.
I’m in Crossmaglen today talking to former Traveler bareknuckle boxing champion Dan Rooney.
Tomorrow night I may post a full and comprehensive list of excuses why Mayo did not beat Meath today.
In brief – shit pitch, shit ref, three woeful refereeing decisions in particular and, er, shit Mayo team.

I donno Eoin, I think being hated by the other 31 counties might be the edge we need.

Indeed. Come to think of it beating them in the semi-final two years made up for the disapointments

That was one of the few truly glorious days we’ve ever had.
