Love this, great album. Favourites being Pablo Picasso and She Cracked. Although theres a demo version of She Cracked on a Rough Trade Compilation that I think I prefer to the one on the album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H4p3lmTLyE
You were speaking about albums that you couldn’t get a while ago. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I tried to buy this – had it on order in about four different shops at different points over the spave of about five years. One download that I made 100% guilt free, I mean, I did try to buy it a load of times for fuck sake.
Might have mentioned this before, but I once spent three years trying to find a copy of the Velvet Underground’s White Light/White Heat. Eventually, I tracked it down on cassette in a shop in Dublin.
I brought it home on the train, went up to my room, opened the cassette cover and the spools of the tape dropped out of the box and rolled across my floor.
If illegal downloading had existed back then, I’d probably have felt justified in downloading Lou Reed’s entire back catalogue and sneaking into his next ten concerts!
