“KEEP F***ING THAT CHICKEN!”
Not sure why I find this so funny. Maybe it’s because, with most clangers, you understand what the person intended to say, even if came out a little garbled. In this instance though, I have no earthly idea of what was this man could possibly have been trying to say. Even Will Ferrell would have trouble delivering lines this absurd.
During a routine back-and-forth with his local weather guy last night, veteran New York news anchor Ernie Anastos observed (bizarrely) that, “It takes a tough man to make a tender forecast, Nick.”Looking rather bewildered, weatherman Nick Gregory replied, “I guess that’s me.” Without missing a beat, Anastos adds, “Well, keep fucking that chicken.”
The expression on the female co-anchor’s face says it all.

I like his continued ranting “Hey look at you, hey, looking good out there, go go go !”
You can hear his bug eyed co-anchor falter in her lines as she wonders if he’s slipping up or melting down.

@ Peter – dunno, but apparently he has a history of saying bizarre things on air. Just nothing, presumably, as bizarre as “keep fucking that chicken.”

Actually, if you check out the latest edition Daily Show just gone online, Jon does a pretty fun bit about this.
Claims he was just about to unveil “keep fucking that chicken” as his own signoff line, but Anastos beat him to it.
