PO’ BOY (2001)
Othello told Desdemona, “I’m cold, cover me with a blanket.
By the way, what happened to that poison wine?”
She says, “I gave it to you, you drank it.”

Christ I love this song. Another example of Dylan’s bizarre sense of humour (which almost led to him making a sitcom with Larry Charles (!!)):
“Poor boy, in the hotel called the Palace of Gloom
Calls down to room service, says, “Send up a room”.
Instead of the sitcom, Charles and Dylan made the outlandish Masked and Anonymous, which includes a similar approach to gags – if you’ve seen it, you’ll recall the scene with Dylan walking through a carnival midway. Seeing a sign that reads “Man Eating Chicken”, he pulls back the tentflap to reveal a man eating a nice bucket of chicken.
Someday I hope he gets to make that sitcom.

On the sounds of that, I’m not so sure I agree, Paul!
