The man was a midget… midget… midget…
“Y’all want more Trapped in the Closet?” R. Kelly asked his followers on Twitter the other day. “I need to know if this is what you guys want from me…” The R&B singer has already served up 22 installments of his “incalculably bizarre” urban hip-(soap)-hopera Trapped in the Closet. And the good news is that, after a three year break, episodes 23-27 are now ready to drop this spring. In the meantime, if you need a refresher, episodes 1-22 are streaming here. Just rewatched them myself. Hadn’t previously noticed that the cop in episode 4 episode is Omar from The Wire (while the arresting officer in episode 15 is Will Oldham).

I think Trapped In the Closet may have started off as a serious project, but then when R Kelly realized how much everybody was laughing at him he just kept it going. It just gets more and more out of hand every chapter.

@ Angela – I dunno, I’d hesitate to second guess R Kelly’s motives. I really would.

Nothing bar NOTHING still eclipses the climax of the first episode. That said, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the other 21!
It’s a shame that trapped in the closet 6.5 has been lost somewhere in the MTV archives. It was a solo performance where R. Kelly plays all the characters onstage live. Yes I’m serious, but I don’t think R was.
