I like the way they went for ‘Europe’s best..’ instead of ‘Ireland’s best’. At least they aiming high. In other Mayo related news LONGFORD! WTF!

I wasn’t there thank God, but spoke to several people who were. They sounded traumatized. There was an interesting piece in one of the Mayo papers about how O’Mahoney got the job in the first place, firing of Micky Moran etc. Some dodgy Fine Gael/Mayo County Board back-scratching going on there by the sounds of it.

I heard a number of the players left in tears and refused to talk to the media. I blame the County Board for everything. Have you read the ‘House of Pain; Through the Rooms of Mayo Football’ by Keith Duggan? I haven’t but have heard it’s great. I have a brain like a sieve and keep forgetting to buy it or even look for it. I’m going to get it today, that’s it, enough of the messing
