WALTONS TO HANSARD: DROP DEAD

waltons
“Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice” sang Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova in the 2007 film Once. Two years on, that option may just have expired. Press release from Friction PR this morning:

“Falling Slowly”, the Oscar-winning song from Irish independent film “Once” has been banned from being played in Waltons Music Shop in Dublin (which features in the film). The owner and staff are sick of hearing it played by all and sundry who come into the shop to check out instruments.

Can’t blame the Waltons Music Shop in Dublin. They’re trying to make a living in there! They are not a tourist stop. Serious music makers only, please.
